Purchased Disasters! | Satın Alınan Felaketler!

Hello dear readers.

It is a great misfortune for our species and our blue planet Earth, that human beings have almost bought the disasters that will come upon them. It is another unfortunate situation that some of the environmental activists serve the actors who pollute the environment, some of them are far from sincerity, and some of them are now in the learned helplessness syndrome. Unfortunately, these misfortunes are caused by earthquakes, epidemics, floods, droughts, etc. It is another sad situation that even being in other disasters cannot teach / do not give enough lessons to the entire humanity of the world. The gradual increase in carbon footprint is the most obvious result of this.

On the other hand, it is another sad and dramatic fact that humanity is still not (able) to use natural resources and especially renewable energies effectively for their basic energy needs. One of the best developments in these subjects is digitalization. About 30 years ago, I mentioned in dozens of articles that digital publishing and online information sharing would radically change the whole world in 30 years. While I was dealing with digital publishing at that time, I was given answers such as “you are dealing with bauble things”. We replied to the lack of vision people with this point of view that even 10 years later, it is enough for you to give us the right.

Especially the carbon emissions caused by digitalization in the logistics and transportation sector, and the withdrawal of paper and similar elements from use has been a great ‘added value’ in itself. However, even so, because of the inefficient use of solid, liquid and electrical energy, especially used in the air conditioning of living spaces, why rainwater harvesting and solar energy fields and/or solar energy systems to be installed on roofs are still not implemented effectively, even in large-scale living spaces of public authorities. We couldn’t understand why they didn’t.

Dear Readers and Authors;

Our journal has now completed five years, constantly improving its publication quality through a minimum of three referees and has established its academic presence. As of this beginning of this year, our journal is now included in the academic incentive system of the Turkish Higher Education Council. We expect to see more interest and intensity in the articles that come with your support in the future.

In this issue, we present three research and two review articles. With the pride and happiness of being a five-year-old journal and the support of our readers, we hope to have many effective and productive academic publications in the future.

Merhaba değerli okurlarımız.

İnsanoğlunun üzerine gelecek felaketleri adeta satın alması, türümüz ve güzel gezegenimiz dünya için büyük bir talihsizliktir. Çevre aktivistlerinin bir kısmının çevreyi kirleten aktörlere hizmet etmesi, bir kısmının samimiyetten uzak olması, bir kısmının ise artık çaresizlik sendromuna girmiş olması bir başka talihsizliktir. Ne yazık ki, bu talihsizliklerin depremler, salgınlar, seller, kuraklıklar vb. başkaca felaketlerin içinde olunması bile tüm dünya insanlığına yeterince ders verememesi bir başka üzücü durumdur. Bugün karbon ayak izi ve karbon salınımının artan oranlı artışı bunun en belirgin sonucudur.

Öte yandan, yine insanlığın, tüketim çılgınlığı, doğal kaynakların ve özellikle yenilenebilir enerjilerin temel enerji gereksinimi için hala etkin kullanıl(a)maması da bir başka üzücü ve dramatik gerçektir. Bu konulardaki en güzel gelişmelerin başında, dijitalleşme gelmektedir. Tam 30 yıl önce, dijital yayıncılığı ve çevrimiçi bilgi paylaşımının bütün bir dünyayı 30 sene içinde kökünden değiştireceğini onlarca yazımda dile getirmiştim. Bendeniz o dönemlerde dijital yayıncılıkla ilgilenirken, şahsıma “boş işlerle uğraşıyorsunuz” türünden cevaplar veriliyordu. Biz de bu bakışa sahip vizyonsuz kişilere sadece ve sadece 10 yıl sonra bile bize hak vermeniz için yeterlidir diye cevap vermiştik.

Dijitalleşmenin lojistik ve ulaştırma sektörünün ortaya çıkardığı karbon salınımı başta olmak üzere, kağıt ve benzeri unsurları kullanımdan çekilmesi bile başlı başına büyük bir katmadeğer olmuştur. Ancak öyle de olsa, özellikle yaşam alanlarının iklimlendirilmesinde kullanılan katı, sıvı ve elektrik enerjisinin, verimli kullanılmamasından, yağmur suyu hasatı ve güneş enerjisi tarlalarının ve çatılara kurulacak güneş enerjisi sistemlerinin hala neden etkin bir şekilde uygulamaya konulmadığını, hatta kamusal otoritelerin büyük ölçekli yaşam alanlarında bunu zorunlu tutmamalarını anlayabilmiş değiliz.

Değerli Okurlarımız ve Yazarlarımız;

Dergimiz artık en az üç hakemli olarak yayın kalitesini her geçen gün artırarak beş yılını doldurmuş ve akademik varlığını ispat etmiş durumdadır. Dergimiz, bu yıl başından buyana Türk Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu sistemine göre, akademik teşvik kapsamına girmiş bulunmaktadır. Bundan sonraki dönemde sizlerin de desteği ile gelen makalelerde daha fazla bir ilgi ve yoğunluk beklemekteyiz.

Bu sayımızda, 3 araştırma ve 2 derleme makale ile karşınızdayız.

Beş yıllık bir dergi olmanın gururu ve mutluluğu ve sizlerin desteğiyle etkin ve verimli nice akademik yayınlarda buluşmak ümidi ile.
